I'd like to do it with my miamii'm not sure if the Miami is going to work out too well, looks like the MIDI options on it are very limited. you're able to do some pretty nifty things with re-triggering and transposition. I'll get into some more details tomorrow. you can Group these two channels if you want, but i'll explain later why you might not want to. notice that the 'Ext 16' setting doesn't 'lock', you'll have to change that.Ĥ. engage 'LOCK' to lock the seq settings and switch presets on TAL-101. nice! play around with moving or adding notes inside this Clip.ĮDIT: be sure that 'HOLD' is engaged on the TAL seq, or it'll reset each time the TAL channel Clip re-triggers. you should now hear your sequence being played on the TAL, just as it would be in 1/8 mode set to 'Trigger' or 'Host'. ![]() hit PLAY in Live, make sure both channels have their Clips playing. on this MIDI track, create a 1-bar clip consisting of 8th notes. be sure to set the MIDI output to your TAL-101 channel, then switch the dropdown to send to TAL Channel 16.ģb. ![]() "All ins, All channels, Auto" is fine for now. set up another MIDI track, this will send the "pulse triggers" to your TAL channel. (notice how it behaves when switching between 1/8 and 1/16 settings.) when switching to 'Ext 16', it seems like it's "locked up".ģa. make sure you're able to get it working ok with 'Trigger' or 'Host'. this 'note' transposes your sequence like on a real 101, so make sure it's where you want. for this example, create a Clip with a single note 1-bar in length. for this example, set up an 8-step sequence on the 101. the MIDI settings should stay at "All Ins" and "All channels". set up a MIDI track in Live with TAL Bassline-101 loaded (along with any fx, etc - like usual). Ok, let me first explain how to set it up in Ableton, then we'll see if the Miami is able to do its part.ġ. it's actually pretty flexible, really cool that they did this.) ![]() once you get this far though, it should make sense and you can experiment from there. more to explain, but this will get people started with it. ![]()
